Recently, there has being a incline in the rate of viruses that are coming up. Currently, Police in Fredericton have warned residents concerning a trending online virus that tries to trick Internet users into thinking they are being investigated for accessing child pornography.
The message, often, comes as a pop-up window that claims to relax any charges that are to be meted to the "offending individuals" only if they pay a fine of $100.
The police has assured people that the message isn't from then and as such it should be considered as an online viral scam therefore, it should be reported on receipt. Amid all the crisis, it is advised to stay away from unfamiliar links
and to avoid clicking on unsolicited pop-up windows.
