Filled under: ,

Hello there, if you are a skilled individual and you seek to make a living with your skill then you should pay attention to this article. There are lots of articles out there that teach you how to make money online but most of them tend not be genuine. Today I will be sharing with you again on the firm that has put money into my pocket and several others and can still do the same for you if only you continue reading this.
Odesk is the largest online work place in the world. Odesk is a place where skilled professionals work to earn cash. There are several clients there waiting for you to get signed up so they can employ you.
What kind of Jobs are on oDesk?
There are several kinds of jobs on oDesk with these main categories  ---- Web Development, Writing & Translation, Customer Service, Software Development, Adminstrative Support, Sales and Marketing, Design & Multimedia, Business Services, Networking & Information Systems. All these main categories have several sub categories under them which means no matter how specific your skill is, you have a job waiting for you.
From our previous article on oDesk we emphasized that oDesk has two types of job kinds ---- Hourly & Fixed Price.
How am I paid?
The Hourly job is paid per hour and what you are paid per hour is determined by you (we will come back to this later). The fixed price job on the other hand is not paid by hour it is paid based on negotiations between your client and you. The payment period could be hours, days, weeks or even years as the case may be.
What to do after signing up to oDesk
Take Tests
After signing up to oDesk, it is recommended that you take skills test - these test are meant to prove your skills in your professed profession. They help your clients rate you and determine whether you are competent for the job or not. Take as many as possible. The more tests you take the better. But note something before taking a test, make sure you are really prepared for it. Make sure you have read the necessary materials needed.
Add your portfolio
Your portfolio is a nice place on your oDesk profile to display your portfolio -- this is the work or things you have done or written. For instance, if you are a graphics designer and you have designed logos in your portfolio. This increases your percentage of been hired for every application you submit.
To be continued... Watch out tomorrow Sunday 23rd September for the continuation @ 12:30 PM GMT
