Monetizing your Website

On Some of our previous topics, I talked about how to Drive Massive Traffic to Your Website. Today, I'm going to be sharing with you what to do when you've got the traffic.
What Do I do with my Website Traffic? The Simply answer is Monetize. Of-course, you already know that. The real question should be how do I monetize my website - this brings us to today's topic - "Monetizing your Website".
Running Ads on Your Website
We have several advertising firms that pay you to run their Ads on your blog or website but I will be sharing three with you.
  1. Google AdSense/Chitika/Adhitz: These programs display contextual ads on your site and pays you for the number of clicks or number of impressions that come from your site. In the beginning, you will likely not see big dividends. However, as your blog gains readers and builds traffic, you can easily start to make a significant income from this source. This brings to mind our article about Traffic. The more traffic you get, the more you earn.
  • One unique thing about Adhitz is that you can also make revenue per click and per sale. For instance if someone merely clicks on the advert, without patronizing it, you are paid and if the person patronizes it and eventually buys that product as the case may be, you get a commission for that sale.

  • Google Adsense
  • Chitika
  • Adhitz
  • In-Text Ads
These are ads that are hyperlinked to certain words in your text. For instance, perhaps the word “blogger” is hyperlinked to a network of Bloggers perhaps the word “hiking” is hyperlinked to an for new athletic shoes. These links are sold for a set amount, rather than being paid by the click or impression. Although some sites pay by per click. Listed below are two of the several in-text ads firms that pay your for every click.

  •  Amazon Associates/Affiliate Programs
2. Amazon is one of the more popular affiliate programs available, but there are several. You earn a fixed amount of sales from traffic that your blog sends to these programs. These are especially lucrative around the holidays or other gift-giving occasions. You can also try Ebay or Clickbank. You get paid to affiliate people's product.
3. Sell Ad-space : You can decide to sell Ad-space on your blog. If you have a website or blog with a PR(Page Rank) from 5 upward, then it is hot cake. There are some online firms that help you sell your Ad-space, they do all the negotiations with the advertisers and you pay them some commission usually 2% of the ad money. Some of the sites that avail this opportunity includes Adhitz and BuysellAds
4. If you know how to write well then you can earn money writing for people. To get paid to post articles, visit any of the following links.
